Wavvy Player is a video player for Android TV, Google TV, phones and tablets. It plays the movies and series you already have, stored on your device, a USB stick, an SD card, your NAS or your PC, with subtitles, surround sound and resume.

Plays the files you have
Open MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, WebM and TS files. Video in HEVC (H.265), H.264, VP9 and AV1 plays up to 4K, with HDR on supported devices.
• DTS, Dolby Digital (AC3), E-AC3 and TrueHD audio are built in, so there is no codec pack to install
• Switch between the hardware and software decoder if a file does not play
• Open a video from your file manager, browser or chat app with "Open with"

Your NAS and PC on the big screen
• SMB shared folders from Windows PCs, NAS drives and routers with a USB port; SMB 1, 2 and 3 are detected automatically
• WebDAV and FTP servers, plus DLNA / UPnP media servers found on your Wi-Fi
• Stream URLs: http, https, HLS (.m3u8) and DASH (.mpd)
• Thumbnails, resume and next episode also work over the network
• Clear error messages (wrong password, share not found, server off) tell you what to fix

Subtitles and audio tracks
• Subtitle files next to the video (.srt, .ass, .ssa, .vtt) are found automatically, even on network shares
• Embedded and forced subtitles are detected
• Load a subtitle file, set the subtitle delay, change size, font, color and background
• Set a preferred audio and subtitle language; your choice is remembered per movie and for the whole series

A player that remembers
• Continue watching from the exact second, on every profile
• Episodes play in the right order (S01E02 before S01E10) and the next one starts by itself
• Swipe for brightness and volume, double-tap to skip, speed 0.5x to 2x
• Aspect ratio with cinema crop, screen lock, picture-in-picture, background play

How to watch from a NAS or PC
1. Turn on file sharing on the PC or NAS and note its IP address.
2. In Wavvy Player open Network, then Add network source, and choose SMB.
3. Enter the address, share name, user name and password. Folders open like local ones.
DLNA servers appear on their own when you scan the network.

Does it work on Android TV? Yes, it is the same app, designed for the remote.
