I played this game when it came out back on the iPhone 4. It made me fall absolutely in love with Rogue likes. This is still hands down the best one I have played on mobile. I randomly stumbled upon this game again and saw it had content updates I hadn't played. So I'm buying it again. To the people complaining that you have to pay to unlock characters after the trial portion of the dungeon: I have gotten much more gaming time out of this for $8 than 95% of $60 games I've bought.

Update 2022: some great quality of life improvements in the 1.4 patch. No issues with the new graphics on my S9+. This is still the best mobile roguelike. I've been playing since 2013, and it's still fun!; -This game is great. As a fan of net hack, I was right at home with Whack. This game is challenging and immensely replayable.

Typical net hack clone, you find many items, but any of them might be cursed. You will die very easily, and difficulty is very unpredictable: you may kill 20 sewer rats in a row with 1 arrow each, then die to the 21st, missing 7 shots in a row. Because of its randomness, this game is very addictive. Even worse, this is the most technologically advanced version of Net hack, but it has the worst controls and terrible frame rate. (Using Samsung A20)

Game is difficult enough without bugs. Gnomish walkers still fall under the lift for the gnomes somehow, so now this run is screwed. Since I've talked to the king I can't attack them and the lift blocks teleport spells. This is one of many bugs I've hit multiple times

This is a DEMO! Granted it's a very good game, which would probably get 5*, but I can't award that to a demo that wants you to pay for the full game. Not against paying, but this makes it feel like a con, rather than an advertising strategy. That said, what I've seen so far seems like a top-notch net hack esq game. Very playable and worth paying for.
