Thank you so much for resolving my issue. I've created weather widgets from Google apps before, but they were automatically removed after a period of time, but now I have this. Please, sir, provide apps that allow you to access the Battery Optimization settings. I can't seem to find battery optimization in any of the settings, and I'm not sure where it is. Please develop apps.

Does exactly what it says on the tin: Opens Google Weather without having to go through the process of adding the home screen widget, or searching Google for weather. Why Google doesn't just release a dedicated weather app is beyond me, so this suffices. Thanks!

Your app shortcut is of I think Miami app frog weather thanks from sometimes I am not able to open the app then I came here and it worked

This is new and not so improved Google weather app has lost the ability to tell us the date! This lacks all common sense!! What follows is that. Unlike with the couldn'tt-be-improved-upon previous weather app, NOW I have to also open the calendar. This is ridiculous! It is in permanent dark mode, which is ugly. The whole thing is a big disappointment, and I need to find a better weather app now. This is a definite downgrade from the previous Google weather app.

I tried to install the app. I tried to access the app on my phone, and it wouldn't open it up. Also, I could not access my other apps. So I had to restart the phone for me to be able to uninstall this app. I hope this will be fixed ASAP since they said it's compatible with my phone.

NEW UPDATE SUCKS!!!! Does not show dates when looking at 10-day. Cannot tell if it will be sunny, partly sunny/cloudy by the (stupid) looking sun & clouds "emoji" thing. Have to make so many clicks from 10 day to hourly just to see what the daily/hourly will be like!! I HATE IT!!!
