To those of your complaining of missing features; this app is called "Files shortcut" for a reason, it opens the hidden inbuilt android file manager, the creator of files shortcut has no control over what features are available there, that is up to Google/Android Open Source Development team (the ones who make android OS)

This app is supposed to be a shortcut for opening the default Files app on Android 13+, this Files app is inaccessible or invisible by default that's why people use this app. This is not a shortcut creater, it does it's work perfectly. You should also disable the Google files app if that is installed because this app may redirect you to that one instead of the native Files app

Nice to have quick access to the stock file manager. It's now the only one that can access the hidden/system files. Very disappointing that Android nowadays is morphing to be like iOS more and more.

It seems there's changes on the app from simple shortcut that opens android built in file manager to less privacy-friendly app. You can get the similar old simple shortcut app on F-Droid store named Files by surf5726.
