This app does exactly what it says it does. It is simple and does not require extra permissions. And yes, it does add in the docs, that in case there is a glitch somewhere, you should save the icon image in a text file, along with the link, and the icon label. Nice clean app which fills an important gap left by chages in Android Chrome. I like it.

Downloaded out of curiosity. One star just to post, not to review. Unnecessarily complicated. Go to web page, tap three dots top right (menu), tap download (downward pointing arrow), when done, go back, tap "add to home screen". Make sure you put it where you want it. You now have a website shortcut by Chrome on your home screen. Simple.

Was an excellent App before the update! I'd give it 5 stars if they hadn't taken the icon-auto-fetch functionality away in a recent update. This move doesn't make any sense, as this functionality was great to easily identify the various shortcuts on the screen. Please bring that function back!
