Description
DailyTravel is an app designed by Westat to collect travel information for transportation studies. This information includes the location of places visited by participants along with details that explain the why, how, and when of travel to these places.
Transportation planners will use information collected from this study to develop forecasts of future travel in your city, region, and state. A number of households have been randomly selected to participate and represent households in the entire region. Only selected households have been provided a Personal Identification Number (PIN) and are able to use the DailyTravel app. The information that your household and other households in the survey provide will help build a complete and accurate picture of state and local transportation needs so that public funds for improvements can be spent where they are needed most.

My experience with Daily Travel has been positive. I encourage others to support their efforts to make traveling in our areas as easy, safe and comfortable as possible. Without our participation our needs don't have a very good chance of being met. We need more accessibility to travel, also, any chance anything can be done about the crumbling sidewalks in Lorain on W. Erie Ave., us walkers have a dangerous "trip" when we attempt to use them. Thank you for trying to make travels better and easier.

Update: prompt response from support, and the issue was resolved. Previous: App will install and open to PIN screen. After submitting the PIN app crashes and will not reopen.

It took a little bit to figure out how it worked, including why my map wasn't working. I found out a setting on my phone was off. Other than that, it was easy to use.

Downloaded this for the NHTS household survey. It did not automatically track travel and when I tried entering it manually the new location never showed up. Tried multiple times without success. Don't waste your time.

App is not that user-friendly, the stops and location are not accurate, and it's really hard manually adding changes, very time-consuming process

Wasted time. Permissions on, location on, web browser Chrome, nothing to interfere with app. Turned on, active on designated day. 1st glitch, a stop light-why am I stopping & give name of destination. Try to input data before green light. Stalls-still asking about stop. Map did not recognize common, well known areas (large VA campus). Refuses to accept address I inputted, insists I select another (VA ER). Multiple questions-did I walk, use car, public transportation, did I get deliveries, etc
