Description

Wholphin is an open-source, third-party Android TV client for Jellyfin. It aims to provide a great app user experience optimized for TV viewing.

This is not a fork of the official client. Wholphin's user interface and controls have been written completely from scratch. Wholphin supports playing media using ExoPlayer and MPV.

Wholphin supports Movies, TV Shows, Music, Photos and, Live TV & DVR.

Please note: In order to use Wholphin, you must have your own Jellyfin server set up and configured!

Thank you for all your hard work on this! I had been hoping to move away from Emby for a couple of years now since they started promoting their "universal" Android app (which has been a huge downgrade), but the official Jellyfin app was still missing too much. Dolphin has finally given me the experience I've been looking for. I really appreciate the smooth and modern UI, settings and customization, and the PIN feature that actually works.

I used Jellyfin for years now. Constant freezes, synced subtitles, and lots of weirdness. I kept debugging the server, with no success, eventually just accepting that Android devices just don't play nice with Jellyfin servers. Installed this app, and all playback is flawless now. No freezes, subtitles work perfectly, instant playback start. It even has some really nice extra features (like fetch subtitles, a feature I really missed from my Plex days, and Seerr integration). Really nice work.
