The Wi-Fi Utility app is a factory installed app for your mobile device that finds, manages, and automatically connects to available Wi-Fi hotspots. The app helps increase your device’s Wi-Fi connections while minimizing your cellular data consumption by only turning Wi-Fi on when and where needed.

This app is intended solely for TracFone Wireless or its brands subscribers. Only active subscribers will receive the full benefit.

Recent changes:
Improved Stability, and added Device Pulse features to the app. This allows a user to have a one stop access to important subscription and device information.

This release also provides for the Network Optimizer feature. This allows for continual improvements to call reception and network quality.

This application is to be used by handsets sold by TracFone Wireless Inc. only.

★★☆☆☆ This app says it was installed, not from factory, but after factory resetting, and proper disabling instructions, this app keeps reinstalling itself and then reinstalling other apps that have been blocked and uninstalled

★★☆☆☆ Bad Actor. Keeps bugging me with notification pushes constantly. There are other apps that will provide all my phone and system settings at a glance that are not so invasive and obnoxious. TracFone (and maybe Verizon as well in some cases?) Should not install it by default and then make it hard to uninstall.

★★☆☆☆ This app is intentionally named something other than DevicePulse to make it harder to disable. And, even though "Wi-Fi Utility" doesn't have *any* permissions on my phone, my wifi turns on and off on its own, connects to networks I never added. I wonder, now that I've removed it, what kind of improvements in battery life and performance I'll see. Their phones are so cheap, there has to be spyware. And I think I found just a bit more of it.
