App needs to be updated but will work fine if you disable Battery optimization for the app. Go to Settings and find "Battery optimization" > Choose All Apps and then find WNRN and choose Don't Optimize. Boom, sweet music all the time.

I love the station, and being able to listen outside the listening area is great. On some phones the track info doesn't update when the song changes (current model Pixel 7a) (The reason for only 4 stars) The majority of the music I buy now comes from this station. It's appropriate for the area, vand I wish they'd add some current day Matthew Good songs. He'd fit in on the mix.

I love this station so much but can't always be in the areaor my car. It would be so nice if you guys could make this app able to run in the background, so I can do things with my phone off or on different apps.

The station is great! The willow root app is abysmal. And they don't address the myriad complaints! Poor memory management. Keeps cutting out. Harshes my buzz. Use Tune In instead.

The station is amazing. But this ap. I mean for the last 5 years people have been writing reviews with the SAME issue and It's still not fixed. For me, it's the same problem listed everywhere else. The Ap works for a few seconds sometimes a few minutes and then randomly stops. Sometimes the orange switch turns off other times the sound just cuts out. It's crazy this ap is still having the same problem for so long.

Will confirm other reviews, this app quits playing barely a full song in. And repeatedly cuts off. I liked the old app much more. Until it is fixed I'll listen to Virginia's best radio station through their website.
