Our vision is for you to be able to navigate the world with confidence.
“Wo Hui” is Mandarin for “I can”. Wo Hui Mandarin is a growing community of teachers and learners of Mandarin Chinese, particularly in schools and universities, who are turning “I can’t” into “I can!”
The HSK and YCT courses that we offer are the only digital courses officially recognised by Chinese Testing International – the organisation that develops, administers and scores the world's most popular Chinese language proficiency tests (the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi, and the version for younger learners, Youth Chinese Test).
LEARNER FOCUSSED
Each HSK or YCT level is presented as a different mountain to climb. There are 2 pathways up each mountain: one that optimised for the spoken form, the other for written. Each step along the pathways focusses you on one new thing at a time.
1. Acquire a new Chinese character 2. Unlock extra words by combining it with other characters you know 3. Put the unlocked words into sentences
OPTIMISED FOR TEST TAKERS
By allowing you to focus on the spoken and written forms of Chinese separately, you experience a smoother transition from lower to higher YCT and HSK levels when the phonetic transcriptions (Pinyin) are no longer included.
YOU'RE IN CHARGE
Progress at your own pace. Set yourself daily goals and reminders, and keep track of your progress. Our snowballing approach means that your vocabulary grows exponentially rather than linearly. As you continually recycle what you have learned, you not only does your knowledge grow but so does your confidence in using what you know.

I REALLY LIKE THE CONCEPT, the art is beautiful and the listening and conversational based teaching make it more interesting and engaging. But: Asking the user to sign up without a preview of the app is apparently a trend, but it's not pleasant to the users at all:). Also, the app crashes A CRAZY LOT. And since it's sometimes really slow on loading the data it would be really nice if there was a Download Course/Lesson option. And for the "Do you understand this?" should have a YES/NO button. ♥️

I appreciate the sleek interface. But the paywall for all HSK courses is disappointing. Offering a trial version or free content would help users evaluate the app and make a more informed decision. Many competitor apps do offer freemium content. In that sense, the app doesn't really adhere to your mission statement of "Make Chinese learning simple" in my opinion. Also, the flashcard exercises glitch, randomly returning to the homepage. Please fix this to enhance the learning experience.

Very sleek app with lots of features, unfortunately I cannot complete the coursework, as there is a bug that prevents the phone keyboard from loading whenever 普通话 character input is required. Very disappointed as I signed up to the subscription, and can't use the app at all :(
