★★★★★ Update = much better performance. The flicker/jitter issue has been mostly addressed and the translations are a little more stable. I'm waiting for more language packs too. Hoping for Asian languages next (Korean). Most underrated app on the marketplace!

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work on most words and Texts Not worth paying for yet; Might be if they improve it. Words jump back and forth between original language and translation, several times a second. The translation does not improve with time, it briefly flashes the correct translation, then a wrong translation, then no translation, then other junk. Hitting Pause helps to read the flickering words, but you have to do this many times, to randomly see if you capture a good translation (program does NOT continue to work on a better translation during pause). Some signs with big clear simple font words have NO translation at all (I can't see how they could miss them). Moving closer and further, or using digital Zoom, or turning phone flash/LED on/off; can sometimes help the program recognize a word. If the program does offer a translation, you can pause, then select the translated word, and it shows you several near by spellings and their translations in case it read the original word wrong (for instance "new" could be 'few' or 'net'). The program also offers several alternative translations (you select a word on the screen, it shows the dictionary with several meanings). Has potential, but not ready for real world use yet.

★★☆☆☆ Needs to improve Doesn't actually manage to translate most text. Occasional words bounce around and swap between different translations but most aren't recognised

★★☆☆☆ Not working well for me... Installed on Samsung Galaxy S2. This doesn't work at all like you see in the video demo at least not on my phone. I've tried translating from French to English using content on a computer screen and on paper and neither works very well. What I see is a barrage of flashing going on where English words do pop up where there was French text but it so choppy that my first reaction was to burst out laughing. I can see some promise here if this whole translation thing is stabilized to the point where you can actually read a proper translation without laughing or getting a headache but it's got a ways to go before I can rate it higher than 2 stars. Make sure you touch your screen to get your camera to focus properly on the text or you'll not get anything going on but a crazy light show.
