★★★★★ We have 4 animal books with videos: Animals of the Wild, Baby Animals, Creatures of the Sea, and Friends on the Farm. We got them about a year ago, and my son (3yo) still asks to "read" the books almost daily. Reading these books is so much more than text! Before starting to read, we open the Wow Books app and tap the screen to bring up the in-app camera. As I read, I (sometimes my son) point the camera at the pictures that have the thick border around them (those are the only ones that bring up videos), and my son enjoys watching the pictures come to life. Of all the videos in all four books, only one video isn't very good (roosters - the sound is terrible). All the other videos are wonderful, and they really bring the text to life. My son's first favorite was the gorilla as it lunges at a tree. Others we love are the horses - the galloping sound is so relaxing! - the funny monkeys, the adorable kitten, and the sharks. He isn't so into the whales, but I could watch that one all day. The only time we have trouble starting a video is when we don't have adequate lighting. The lighting doesn't have to be super-bright, but your camera needs to be able to read whatever it is in the photo borders that brings the pictures to life.

★★★★★ No problems watching the short clips. Would be nice if there was a read along to go with and if clips were longer. Just a suggestion 😉 otherwise it works! We will add the rest of the books to our collection.

★★★★★ I think the videos are great! I have a suggestion though. Once you've gone through each of the pages one of the books, it should unlock a timed video for the book, so you can read it to the videos for the kids without having to res can the page. It only lasts a page per scan, if it could last 2 and go through all of them it would help forthe little ones attentions! My son loves the videos, but gets mad when I have to res can the page again. Thank you!

★★☆☆☆ Tried every page and none worked, just got the loading spiral over and over. Still a fun book to read, but a bummer the app doesn't work.

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work. Held it over every page and the videos do not show up. Put it closer and have tried it far away, nothing seems to help.
