Support policy
Let’s get the record straight: unless you are using our paid services, we don’t owe you anything. The software is provided as is, with no warranty and no guarantee to work with all ill-configured servers/networks on every device with non-stock Android crippled by phone manufacturers.
We do, however, have great sympathy for any decent person who requires support, and we do try to help. You just have to ask nicely. If you are rude, make demands, feel entitled to premium service or lecture us how to behave, we kindly ask you to uninstall our app and be gone for good. We won’t be saddened by 1-star review and we’ll likely leave a sarcastic reply.
Getting support
☆ Read F.A.Q. on our website, https://xabber.com/faq/ You’ll be amazed how many issues are already covered!
☆ Email info@xabber.com This is the best way to get tech support. Be nice, and we’ll do our best to provide you help. Please, describe your issue in detail. If possible, attach screenshots and debug logs that would help us understand what went wrong. ☆ Please, DON’T ask for support in Google Play reviews! Reviews are by far the worst way to reach out to us for tech support. XMPP is a federated protocol, which means the network consists of thousands of servers with different settings, and that there are multiple points of failure. We can’t conceivably know what went wrong from a short message, our replies are limited to 350 characters and the medium does not support back and forth exchange of information.

Very good. Best support for OTR on Android. Connects quickly to my own server, faster that Conversations. Images are always shown unlike Conversations (they are represented by links that is ugly if sent from many clients other than Conversations). Suggested improvements: Delete the http link under images or use a one-line abbreviation. For images/files received through 'http upload' add option to share the file itself, along with 'copy link'. Otion to edit the last message as in Conversations.

This is app with no alternatives if you want to use xmpp. But tell me please how can I make Xabber fetch more that one last message from server history (xep-0313) when I connecting to server from offline? Other clients fetch more offline messages (xmpp messenger, gajim 0.16, psi+) .

Requires an account on their server to store everywhere you connect

[EDIT: Take a look at this developer's response below, which is unprofessional, a personal attack, and a violation of Google's official comment posting policy. It also makes a false claim about the ability to contact support via email, which is not possible from the app or web client. I will be reporting this to Google.] The app worked for one day and no longer receives messages or only receives and delivers them after 30 minutes or more. I've rebooted and checked all settings and configuration, but the problems persist. The app and the web version also don't show the correct online status for users, and there's no ability to report issues to support. I'll have to find another alternative because Xabber is unusable.

Can you make it easier to copy number from chat? So we don't need to go to dial screen, just tap and hold the number to copy the text?

There are better, more secure XMPP clients out there with greater stability, more support docs, and less battery drain. *edit: Devs seem to take reviews personally. If only they too were open-sourced. Perhaps then their insecurities could be fixed. ;) *edit: mmhmm :)
