I've used Widget for years on and off. Most recently I reinstalled it after not using it for a while and noticed that the widgets would freeze after a while. Quite frustrating. What I did to solve it (so far) was to enable location "all the time" and also storage in app v permissions. In battery settings I allowed background activity. This seems to have done the trick - Give it a try. I'm using the latest version available from the play store.

Such a shame to see 1-star reviews because of the last update. The version on play is basically unusable, but the version on the widget website works perfectly with battery op off. I don't understand why the developers' can't rollback on play by rebuilding the previous version to increase its version no. The weather widgets are great; just make sure you install from widget website, not from play

Do not buy!!!! I now have NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH THE WIDGETS AND APP ON MY LG V30. THEY STOP WORKING EVERY 5 MINUTES......NO LONGER SHOWS IN MY NOTIFICATIONS AT THE TOP OF MY SCREEN!!! I HAVE REINSTALLED IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! I TURNED OFF BATTERY OPTIMIZATIONS AS IS SUGGESTED HERE.....THAT DID NOTHING!! DEVELOPER DOES NOTHING TO FIX IT EITHER!' IT SUCKS!!!!!! ......AND NO ONE TO HELP YOU WHEN YOU NEED IT!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Sorry to see this project die. Used to be a nice widget app, and I've used it for years by using the 1.94 app version from the Widget website. Since updating to a new phone with android 11, it now no longer downloads widgets, (they all download as 0 bytes in size). Looks like the backend catalog of existing widgets had died as well.
