YRT On-Request is a reimagined way to get around York Region — a ridesharing service that’s smart, easy, affordable, and green. You can book a ride between your home and the closest YRT bus stop or preselected location in your service area.
With a few taps, book an On-Request ride in the app and our technology will pair you with the closest vehicle to bring you to your location.
How it works: - Book a ride on your phone - Get picked up at your curb - Save money by paying with PRESTO, YRT Pay App or Transit App - Get dropped off at your chosen location within the service area or the closest bus stop where you can use your two-hour transfer on other YRT routes
What we’re about:
CONVENIENCE Don’t live close to a transit stop? No problem. We can pick you up and get you connected to local transit in your area, all in one fare.
AFFORDABLE. Discounted YRT fares are offered through the PRESTO card, YRT Pay App or Transit App. You can use your transfer on any YRT route for two hours.
SUSTAINABLE. Public transit reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, bringing down congestion and CO2 emissions. With a few taps, you get to do your part to make your community a little bit greener and cleaner, every time you ride.

Schedule system makes one hour lost to my day program every day. My day program starts 8.30 am. But I reach 9 am & it finishes 4.30 pm but yrt mobility picks me up 4 pm. so I lose one hour program & the money I paid for my program due to my disability. Otherwise no complaints.

Accessibility issue for blind users (Talk Back not scrolling) I am a blind user who relies on Android Talk Back. When booking a trip to the YRT Mobility On-Request app, the “Travel purpose” screen does not allow scrolling with Talk Back gestures. Because of this, I cannot select my travel purpose independently. I hope the YRT team can fix this in an update to make the app fully accessible for blind users. Thank you.

This app keeps getting worse. Great we have the option to book 24 hours in advance, but now I can never get a booking for the time needed! When I do get the time I request, the ride is always late! I've spent more money on Uber than ever before because of late rides. Very unreliable! The map routing is horrible and when the drivers try and help, the dispatch tells them no! So stupid. Honestly what ever "update" was just made has turned my commute, and I'm sure many others into complete hell.
