I really love the gamepad controls option. Most apps that are VR would have gyro compatibilities issue,so this is not going to be a problem with your gamepad controls option. I hope you make other apps using your gamepad controls option instead of relying on gyro. Please make non zombie vr fps. And improve on gameplay by incorporating tasks to complete level.
