I've been a power user for years. It does miss some functionality from the other clients. However, I believe these will be added with the upcoming Android rewrite. Meanwhile, this app is part of my daily productivity, combined with a self-hosted tulip server. It's stable and fast and powerful. Thank you Team Tulip!

Fantastic app, they fixed the Android notifications bug I reported in just a week! Lots of options, easy to create bots and webhooks to connect to other apps, granular notification controls and decent user controls. Easily as good as Slack, and no limitations, so it is better than Rocket or Mattermost. Great community too. Thanks Tulip! 😊👍

Tulip is pretty good, but the Android app is not great, and has recently gotten 100x worse. It is now constantly closing. Every 5 minutes, I have to force quit the app and restart it, or else it'll close itself (OOM?) without fully shutting down every 15--30 seconds. Basically unusable for composing messages on mobile. Problem started a couple of days ago. Before that, loading messages on startup was slow, but the app was otherwise 4--5 stars.

Another "update" that breaks core functionality. Why? How? No search, read receipts not working, very slow message loading. No search! This is insane! I actually went to using tulip on my web app in desktop mode just to find a message. Edit - still bad after "updates". Can only search main threads, read receipts are very odd, messages aren't often marked as read. Can't easily reply to a channel, instead it defaults to "general chat". I could go on, overall a bad experience.
