WHAT IT COSTS
Nothing. The stay is free. No nightly rate, no cleaning fee, no resort fee for a resort you never saw.

What it actually costs is a little awkwardness. Some small talk. A life story or two over breakfast. People told us that was too much to ask. We disagreed.

HOW IT WORKS
Everyone here hosts. That's the whole trick. You open your place up, and the door opens everywhere else too.

1. Build a real profile. Real photos, real answers, and you can verify your ID.
2. Browse adoptions. Not spare rooms, actual trips. A weekend of hiking. A food tour of a city you've never heard of. A cabin with a dog and a wood stove.
3. Start a convo. Talk first, plan it together, agree on the dates.
4. Go stay with someone who actually wants you there.

WHY NOT JUST BOOK SOMETHING
Airbnb has hosts. VRBO has hosts. But somewhere in there, "host" came to mean a lockbox and a welcome cookie. A good host cooks for you, shows you around, and somewhere along the way becomes your friend. There wasn't a word for that anymore, so we picked one.

Here, you don't get hosted. You get adopted.
