AI Apps & Agents Cert Prep

The exam this app prepares you for is new, and most study material on the store is for the exam it replaced.

Microsoft retired AI-102, Azure AI Engineer Associate, on 30 June 2026. Its successor is AI-103, Developing AI Apps and Agents on Azure, and it is a different exam: built around agents, multi-agent orchestration and Microsoft Foundry rather than around the older service-by-service approach.

This bank was written against the skills measured as of 16 April 2026.

WHAT THE NEW EXAM ACTUALLY TESTS

Building agents: roles, goals, tool schemas, conversation memory, function calling
Multi-agent orchestration, termination conditions and approval flows
Choosing Foundry services and models per task, including small language models
Retrieval Augmented Generation, grounding, and evaluating groundedness
Model reflection, self-critique loops and chain-of-thought evaluation
Observability: tracing, token analytics, safety signals, latency breakdowns
Responsible AI for agents: tool-access control, oversight modes, audit trails
Indirect prompt injection, including instructions embedded in images
Content Understanding for documents, images, audio and video
Computer vision: image and video generation, editing, multimodal understanding
Text analysis and speech as an agent modality
Information extraction: ingestion, OCR, layout analysis, semantic and hybrid search

IT TEACHES THE CURRENT NAMES

Microsoft has renamed this stack twice. Azure AI Studio is now Microsoft Foundry. Cognitive Services are now Foundry Tools. Material that still uses the old names is out of date, and this bank uses the current ones throughout.

EVERY OPTION EXPLAINED, NOT JUST THE RIGHT ONE

Each question explains why the correct answer is correct and why each wrong answer is wrong. On an exam where several options are plausible, understanding why the near-miss fails is most of the skill.

BALANCED TO THE REAL EXAM

One hundred and fifty questions distributed across the five skill areas in the exam's own published proportions, so study time lands where the questions actually are.

BUILT FOR FLIGHTS

All 150 questions, their answers and every explanation ship inside the app. Practice never touches the network, never streams and never checks an account, so airplane mode behaves exactly like full signal.

The only part of the app that uses a connection is the optional News tab, which reads a public RSS feed of AI news. It caches what it last loaded, so it still shows something offline, and nothing else depends on it.

ALSO INCLUDED

Exam pace timer, optional. It never locks you out and never auto-submits.
Optional daily study reminder, scheduled on your device. Nothing is sent from a server.
Progress tracking: streak, best score, full attempt history, stored on your device.
A review queue that brings back questions you missed and releases them once you have them right.
No account, no sign-up, no ads.
