Austru: Quit Smoking, Alcohol

Austru counts what you get back when you stop smoking, vaping or drinking.

TWO SECTIONS, ONE APP
Nicotine and alcohol each have their own section, with their own counter, money and cravings journal. Switch at the top of the screen; Austru opens where you left off. Track one, or both.

NICOTINE: ONE LEDGER FOR SMOKING AND VAPING
Cigarettes, rolling tobacco, vape pods and e-liquid all live in the same counter. Switching from smoking to vaping, or cutting both at once, never breaks your streak or hides your progress.
- Time without nicotine, ticking live
- Money reclaimed, to the cent
- Cigarettes not smoked, pods not used, e-liquid avoided
- Nicotine avoided in milligrams, added up across every product
- Your body recovering, stage by stage, from twenty minutes to ten years
- Milestones from your first hour to your first year

ALCOHOL: STOP, OR DRINK LESS
- Stop completely: a running count of alcohol-free time, your longest count, your total alcohol-free days, and an eight-stage recovery timeline based on published studies.
- Drink less: a weekly limit in standard drinks, a two-tap drink log, alcohol-free days that count themselves, and what you keep compared to before.
Switch goals any time. Your history stays.

A SLIP IS NOT A RESET
Had a drink? Log it. Only the current count starts again. Your longest count, your alcohol-free days and the money you kept all stay.

HONEST ABOUT SAFETY
Six quick questions open the alcohol section: the AUDIT-C screening used by doctors, plus three about withdrawal risk. They tell you whether stopping suddenly should go through a doctor first. Austru never blocks you; it tells you what to watch for and when to call for help.

MONEY YOU CAN CHECK
Tap the money card and Austru shows you the arithmetic. Nothing is hidden in a black box. Log a price rise with its date and your nicotine savings grow from that day forward, never retroactively. Choose the standard drink where you live: 10 g (France and most of Europe), 8 g (UK unit) or 14 g (US).

WHEN A CRAVING HITS
Open the craving screen. A breathing wave paces you, four seconds in and four seconds out. A five-minute timer holds the line, because an urge usually crests and fades inside that window. Austru shows you what you have already banked, and it counts every craving you outlast.

A JOURNAL FOR YOUR CRAVINGS
Log what set a craving off, how strong it was and how it ended, straight from the craving screen. Austru turns your entries into patterns by trigger, hour and weekday, so you can see your hardest moments coming. The first 10 entries in each section are free. Austru Pro, a one-time purchase for both sections, removes the limit and adds a home-screen widget.
