Blackout: Emergency Plan

Blackout is an offline emergency guide for your household, made for iPhone.

When the power, signal or internet goes out, there is no time to search the web for advice. Blackout keeps the essentials on your phone: readable, fast and without any connection.

FREE, FOR EVERYONE
• Emergency guides for home, car, cabin, first aid and evacuation
• Checklists for power outages, evacuation bag, water and food supplies, storms and leaving home

SAFEZONE: A NETWORK WITHOUT INTERNET
SafeZone finds nearby iPhones with Blackout and connects them directly, with no router, SIM card or mobile data. You approve every device by hand. Then it passes on short messages and selected changes. Range is tens of meters: during an outage at home, but also at the cabin, on a campsite or at a festival.

PRIVACY FIRST
No account, no ads, no ad SDKs, no trackers. Your guides, lists and supplies stay on your device or between devices you trust. The app sends only anonymous daily counters (for example which screen was open) without a device identifier or personal content. Guides, checklists and tools work in airplane mode.

IMPORTANT
Blackout is an organizational aid. It does not replace emergency services, medical help, fire department or police. In danger to life, always call your local emergency number (911 in the USA, 112 in the EU). The SOS signal and siren are not a substitute for calling for help.
