ByStander Personal Safety

ByStander is a personal safety app built for moments when you need someone in your corner immediately. Share live location, audio, and video with emergency contacts in seconds — or, with a paid subscription, connect with a trained ByStander advocate 24/7.

WHEN EVERY SECOND MATTERS

One tap starts a safety incident. Your chosen emergency contacts receive an instant alert with a link to your real-time location and live stream — audio, video, and health signals if you have them enabled. No fumbling, no passwords, no delays.

TRAINED ADVOCATES, ON DEMAND (paid subscription required)

When you need more than a friend — because your contacts aren't available, or the situation needs someone experienced — ByStander matches you with a trained advocate nearby who stays with you until the incident ends. Advocates are vetted, trained, and bound by confidentiality.

BUILT FOR REAL LIFE

- Traffic Stop Assist, Risky, and Medical incident modes — "Police-stop" records and
alerts your contacts when YOU are stopped by police
- Live two-way streaming to your chosen contacts (paid subscription)
- Pulse safety timer that auto-triggers an incident if you don't check in (paid subscription)
- Scheduled CheckPoint reminders for routine safety check-ins (paid subscription)
- Automatic health monitoring from connected wearables — heart rate, blood oxygen (paid subscription)
- Fall detection and abnormal-vitals alerts (paid subscription)
- Emergency contact opt-in verified by SMS — no spam, no cold outreach
- Background location sharing only while incidents are active
- Offline-capable: core features still work with spotty signal
- Available in 10 languages across the main screens: English, Spanish,
Chinese, Swahili, Hindi, French, Arabic, Bengali, Portuguese, Russian
