It is built on one idea: volume beats judgment. Comedians who write badly every day end up with more good material than comedians who wait for good ideas. So nothing in this app will ever tell you whether a line is funny — that is not its job, and an app that tried would make you self-edit mid-draft, which is the exact muscle this relaxes.
THE DRILLS
52 of them, across four stages of the work:

THE FUNNEL
Ideas → With a Take → Drafts → Tight → Performed → Working. Move material down when it earns it, send it back when it doesn't. Every version of every joke is kept forever. Sharpen enforces a cooldown before you edit, because you cannot read your own material honestly while you still remember writing it.
THE TAPE
Record the set. It keeps recording if you lock the phone or switch apps mid-set. Play it back and hit LAUGH where the laughs land. Get laughs-per-minute per chunk, mapped to your set list, so you know which bit actually worked instead of which bit you remember working. Recordings never leave your phone.
THE NUMBERS ONLY GO UP
A lifetime attempt counter that never resets. A garbage counter you are meant to be proud of. A thirty-day showed-up strip. Every number here measures effort, never quality.
WHAT IT WILL NOT DO
It will not write a joke for you. It will not rank your jokes. It will not score you, compare you to other comedians, or decide what is worth keeping. The on-device intelligence does two things only: it suggests prompts, and it notices premises you keep circling back to. That is the whole remit.
PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION
No account. No sign-up. No analytics. No tracking. Your material lives on your device and in your own private iCloud, which means it syncs to your iPad but is unreadable by us. Recordings and location never leave the device at all.
