DropTubeBuilder: Fuel Tanks

DropTubeBuilder is the offline field tool for fuel system technicians who cut overfill drop tubes, build tank charts, and work alarms on site. Everything works with no signal, because the pit does not have any.

DROP TUBE CUT MATH
Enter the measurements and get the cut length that puts the overfill valve at the 95 percent regulatory fill level. Supports Franklin Defender, EMCO, and OPW ISO valves, with the seat to bottom, tank height and riser measurements each handled properly. Upper cut, lower cut and total length come back with the shutoff height so you can check the result before you cut anything.

TANK CHART BUILDER
Build a volume chart in eighth inch increments for any tank, and export it as a PDF you can leave on site or file. Built in instructions walk through fitting the chart to a real tank, including why the 95 and 90 percent overfill heights follow the tank diameter alone and hold steady when the length changes.

ERROR CODES
Nearly 600 codes covering Gilbarco Encore 300, 500S and 700S, Wayne Ovation, Veeder-Root TLS-300, TLS-350, TLS-450, TLS-450 PLUS and TLS4, and Franklin INCON EVO 550 and 5000.

Tap any code and you get what it actually means, then an ordered list of what to check, most likely cause first, so you can work the alarm instead of just reading it back. Line test failures start with the programming that causes most false failures. Console faults tell you when the alarm is an audit entry rather than a fault. Where an alarm carries a compliance consequence, that is stated after the repair steps, not instead of them.
