egg timer: cute eggy

Cook eggs exactly the way you like them with eggy—the cute egg timer that turns guesswork into a simple routine and delicious results. Whether you want a runny yolk, a soft center or a firm hard-boiled egg, eggy helps you find the right cooking time for every egg.

Not every egg is the same. That is why eggy calculates your boiling time from the egg size, its starting temperature and your preferred doneness. Pick S, M, L or XL, or enter the exact weight for a more personal countdown. Choose metric or imperial measurements for weight and temperature.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Choose the size printed on the carton, or enter the exact egg weight.
2. Set the egg’s starting temperature.
3. Select the texture you want: liquid, soft or hard.
4. Carefully lower the egg into boiling water and tap Start.
5. When the alarm sounds, move the egg to cold water to stop it cooking.

From soft-boiled eggs for toast to firm eggs for salads, meal prep and lunch boxes, eggy is a focused kitchen assistant you can rely on. There are no boiling-time charts to memorize and no kitchen clock to watch. Set your preferences, let eggy calculate the countdown and get on with your morning.

Some features, including custom egg sizes, widgets and the Apple Watch app, require Eggy Golden. Actual cooking time can vary with your stove, altitude and water temperature, so adjust your preferences to suit your kitchen.
