Egg Timer: Perfect Boiled Egg

You typed "egg timer" because there's a pot on the stove right now. Pick your yolk — Runny, Soft, Jammy, Medium or Hard — press Start, and BoilEgg pings you the moment your eggs are ready. No grey-ringed yolks, no watery whites, no cutting one open "just to check."

Most egg timers hand you one fixed number and hope your kitchen matches it. BoilEgg starts from proven times, then adjusts for egg size and a cold-water start — and when a cook lands too soft or too firm, you nudge the preset once and your corrected time sticks from then on. It even runs a mixed pot: jammy for your ramen, hard for the lunchboxes, everything finishing together.

WHAT YOU GET
• Five donenesses, one tap — a runny yolk for dipping, a jammy custard centre for ramen, or a hard egg for salads, each with its own dialed-in time
• Mixed-batch scheduling: pick several donenesses and BoilEgg tells you exactly when to drop each egg so they all come out at once
• Size and start aware: a small egg into boiling water and a large one from a cold pot get different clocks, automatically
• An alert the second time is up — plus a drop reminder for every staggered egg — even with your phone locked
• Taste, then tune: rate each cook "too soft," "perfect" or "too firm," and History shows exactly which way to move your next 30 seconds
• A five-minute cooling timer to stop carry-over cooking, and a plain-language food-safety guide based on USDA guidance

PERFECT FOR
• Ramen cooks chasing that exact jammy, custardy centre
• Parents boiling soft for one kid and hard for the other in a single pot
• Meal preppers hard-boiling a dozen eggs without overcooked green rings
• Anyone who changed stove, town or altitude and suddenly "6 minutes" stopped working

WHY NOT JUST USE THE CLOCK APP?
A bare countdown doesn't know your eggs came straight from the fridge, doesn't add time for a cold-water start, can't stagger a mixed batch so it finishes together, and forgets everything the moment it rings. BoilEgg keeps the time you've tuned to your own kitchen.
