It is not a complete exam blueprint. It drills the navigation and calculations it covers, and names what it does not, so you can plan the rest elsewhere.
FIND IT FAST
Read a scenario and name the article before you open anything. Article 310 or Article 240. This is the drill nobody builds, and the one that saves minutes on exam day.
THE CALCULATIONS THAT FAIL PEOPLE
Ampacity derating. Overcurrent sizing. Conduit fill. Box fill. Voltage drop. Equipment and electrode grounding conductors. Motor conductors and protection. The dwelling service calculation. Each is a pure calculation with exactly one right answer, so they are generated rather than shipped as the same fifty questions. Practice as long as you want without a repeat.
WRONG ANSWERS THAT TEACH
Every wrong choice is the number you get from one specific, common mistake: starting the derate in the 75 degree column, missing the small-conductor cap in 240.4(D), using 53 percent fill out of habit, counting each ground separately. Pick one and you learn which mistake you made, not just that you missed.
SHOW THE WORKING
Miss a calculation and you get numbered steps, not a paragraph. Almost nobody fails on arithmetic. They fail on one skipped step, and a paragraph hides it.
BUILT AROUND YOUR MISTAKES
Progress names the errors that keep catching you. Fix My Mistakes brings back the questions you still need and builds new problems that set the same trap. Exam Warm-Up works your weakest area.
WHAT IS COVERED
Six rooms: how the book is organized and how to find an article, conductors and ampacity, installation rules, worked calculations, dwelling service and load calculations, and grounding with motors. Special occupancies, hazardous locations and the low-voltage chapters are not covered.
WHAT IS FREE
Code Basics, Conductors and Ampacity, and Installation Rules are free, including the working space, burial depth, support spacing and receptacle numbers you look up on site. All eight field calculators are free too: ampacity, conduit fill, box fill, voltage drop, grounding conductors, motor circuits, dwelling load, and Ohm's law. They are study estimates with stated assumptions.
ELECTRICIAN+
Unlocks Worked Calculations, Service and Load Calc, and Grounding and Motors, extra sets in every room, endless generated practice, the timed challenge, and Code Minute.

A NOTE ON THE CODE
Every answer is built on the 2023 NEC, and every table it computes from is unchanged across the 2020 and 2023 cycles, so the arithmetic is the same your paper asks for. What moves between editions is coverage: GFCI and AFCI scope, surge protection, equipment disconnects. A screen in the app lists which tables are stable.
This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by the NFPA. It teaches concepts and calculations in original wording and cites article numbers so you can look each up in your code book. It does not reproduce code text, and it is a study aid rather than a substitute for the code book. Always verify against the code in force where you work.
