Exdrago Elements

Exdrago Elements is an offline arcade roguelike. Your dragon walks on its own, one tile at a time, down through chambers it has never seen. You choose the turns, and you choose what it grows into.

SIX ELEMENTS, ONE RING

Ember, Frost, Storm, Stone, Venom, Arcane. Every limb you graft belongs to one of them, and so does every creature waiting in the dark.

They answer each other in a circle. Ember melts Frost, Frost grounds Storm, Storm shatters Stone, Stone smothers Venom, Venom corrodes Arcane, Arcane snuffs Ember. Whichever element your coil leans on strikes 3 harder against the one it beats, and takes 1 more from the one that beats it. A mark on each creature shows where you stand, so you can walk around a fight you would lose.

GROW THE COIL

Reach the gate and it offers three limbs. Rime Talons add 3 strike and frost over on contact. An Ember Sac adds 4 and carries three points of vitality, so it burns out early. Basalt Plating adds 2 guard and nine points of scale. A Far Eye pushes the dark back one more tile.

Seven links is the limit. After that, every graft replaces something you chose earlier.

SWEEP OR RUN

The gate takes you down whether you fight or not. Slip past every creature and you reach the next floor with your scales intact and your pockets empty. Kill the last one in a chamber and the sweep pays a bounty that climbs with depth.

THE FORGE

Embers outlive the run. Between descents you spend them on a tougher maw, a heavier strike, thicker hide, or a spare maw that relights once when the first one goes out. Rank up a single elemental limb and it arrives stronger the next time the gate offers it.

SIGHT

Your dragon sees one tile in every direction. The rest of the board is memory. Stack Far Eyes to push that boundary out, or walk into whatever the dark was holding. The exit lights up across the whole chamber once the last creature falls.

Go down, and bring something back.
