Finn: Receipt Tracker

Finn is a simple, private receipt tracker. Point your camera at a paper receipt — Finn finds it, captures one clean shot, and reads the date, merchant, subtotal, tax, and total right on your phone. Check the numbers, tap Save, done.

No accounts. No subscriptions. No servers. Your receipts never leave your device unless you export them or turn on iCloud sync with your own Apple account.

WHY FINN
Most receipt apps are one corner of a big expense platform — built for companies, priced like it, and hungry for your data. Finn is for everyone else: contractors and tradespeople saving receipts for tax time, freelancers tracking job costs, and families who just want purchases in one tidy place.

SCAN ANYTHING
• Auto-capture camera: line up the receipt and Finn takes exactly one clean, cropped shot
• Import photos from your library — several at a time
• Import PDFs too, so emailed invoices flow through the same pipeline
• On-device text recognition fills in the fields and flags anything worth double-checking

STAY ORGANIZED
• Tag every receipt — edit the tag list and give each tag its own color
• Filter by tag, merchant, month range, or day
• Merchant filter matches any part of a name, so "home" catches every Home Depot variation
• Monthly totals and tax shown right in the list
• Search by company, note, or tag

EXPORT REAL SPREADSHEETS
• CSV or Excel — your choice
• Exports arrive as a ZIP with the spreadsheet plus an images folder
• The spreadsheet's image column links to each receipt photo
• Exports exactly what's on screen, filters included

ARCHIVE THE PAST
• Filter to a year, a tag, or a merchant and archive the whole list under a name
• Archives stay on your phone — browse, export, restore, or delete them anytime
• Your main list stays fast and clean

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• All text recognition happens on your device
• No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no data collection — nothing to sell because we never have your data
• Optional iCloud sync uses your own Apple account, so backups follow you to your next phone

ABOUT THE NAME
Finn is named after Finnigan, one of our family dogs — an Australian Shepherd mix who loved to herd anything he could. Since this app gathers, organizes, and keeps track of receipts, naming it after him felt like the perfect fit.
