First Hello: New Dad Checklist

A baby is coming. Wonderful — and suddenly it's all forms, windows, and deadlines.

If you're a first-time dad, not knowing the order is normal. This app isn't one you research —
it simply tells you what's next, from pregnancy to month four.

■ One task, right now
Quests are grouped into 8 stages. You see exactly one thing to do; finish it and the next appears.

■ The deadlines that actually cost money
Add your baby to health insurance (30 days on employer plans, 60 on the Marketplace — we ask once
and track the right one). If your state pays family leave, we track your claim deadline too
(California: 41 days, New York: 30, and more). Reminders only when close. Nights are quiet.

■ Made for the hospital week
Register the birth and request the SSN in one step at the hospital. Not married? The paternity
acknowledgment is easiest before discharge. We put these in front of you at the right moment.

■ Home screen widget
Your next task and the closest deadline, without opening the app — check things off from the widget.

■ Like a game, like a journal
Every quest earns a stamp and levels you up, from Rookie Dad to Family Hero. Add a photo and
watch it sharpen as you progress.

■ Free, no ads, no sign-up
Open it and start. Progress backs up automatically; link Google/Apple to move devices.

Deadlines can vary by state or plan — every task links to the official source so you can verify.
Not legal, medical, or tax advice.
