Description by Hamide Buket Girenay(from the App Store)
Put down your phone. Grow your forest.
Glade is a nature-themed focus app that actually blocks distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time API. Every session you complete grows your virtual tree. Every session you quit early withers it. The accountability is what makes it work.
WHY GLADE?
• Real app blocking via Apple Screen Time API — apps are truly locked until your session ends, no tricks • 10 animated nature scenes — choose your focus companion: Oak, Cherry Blossom, Lotus, Fox, Panda, Owl, Deer, Mountain, Ocean, or Aurora • Smart scheduling — set rules like "Block Instagram weekdays 9–12" and they run automatically, without you lifting a finger again • Leaf points — every completed session earns points that level up your forest • Streak system — build daily consistency, protect your streak, feel the momentum grow
HOW IT WORKS
1. Pick the apps you want to block (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, games — anything) 2. Choose your duration — 25 minutes, 1 hour, or fully custom 3. Select a nature scene that speaks to you 4. Tap Start — apps lock instantly, your tree begins to grow
Complete the session and your tree advances: Seed → Sprout → Sapling → Young Tree → Mature Tree → Ancient Forest
Quit early? Your tree withers. This gentle accountability is what keeps you going.
WHO IS GLADE FOR?
• Students who get pulled into social media while studying • Remote workers fighting the urge to scroll during deep work hours • Writers, designers, and developers who need distraction-free focus blocks • Anyone building a healthier digital wellbeing habit
SCHEDULING — SET IT AND FORGET IT
With Glade's smart scheduling (Premium), you create automatic daily rules: • Block social media every weekday morning from 9 to 12 • Lock gaming apps during your work hours • Create a recurring "deep focus window" that runs without you thinking about it
No willpower required once it's set up.
FEATURES
• Session timer with flexible, customizable durations • Smart scheduling by day and time (Premium) • Block shield — a motivational message appears when you try to open a locked app • Daily stats: minutes focused, sessions completed, leaf points earned, streak count • 10 animated nature scenes (Lottie animations) • Streak system with visual progress tracking • Forest evolution across 6 growth stages
Glade does not transmit which apps you use to our servers. All blocking and monitoring happens entirely within Apple's Screen Time framework, on your device. We never see your app usage data.
Every time you reach for your phone, your forest is waiting. Focus. Grow.
