GloWalk: Smart Night Flashligh

GloWalk is a smart flashlight designed for night walking. It adjusts brightness in real time based on ambient light, phone orientation, dark adaptation, moon phase and weather, so every step gets just the right light.

Your walk is recorded as a golden trail, and a shareable night path poster is generated when you arrive.

Core features:

- Five-factor adaptive brightness: ambient light, phone orientation, dark adaptation, moon phase and weather are calculated in real time for the best brightness. Each factor can be toggled independently; when the rear camera closed-loop control is active, factor cards are for reference only and do not overstate contributions.
- Drag to dim: drag the central glow across ten brightness levels and release to stay at the chosen level; drag to the bottom bar to turn the flashlight off completely, and tap the glow to restore auto dimming.
- Pause means pause: long-press the glow for 0.6 seconds to pause, tap to continue; effective duration excludes all pauses and background intervals, and paused time counts no steps or distance. Continuing starts a new segment, so the trail and poster never connect a straight line across a stop. Locking the screen only suspends the session, and returning keeps the same walk.
- Night walk memories: the memorial line after a walk is determined by real features—rainy night, resuming after pause, light changes, route turns, long distance, bright moon phase and quiet walking—seven themes, three stable lines each, covering all 11 languages.
- Night marks: a memorial book, not a leaderboard. 21 memorial lines are grouped by theme; unearned entries show only "Not yet encountered", with no thresholds revealed and no step farming encouraged. Progress is summed from memorial lines saved in walk records, and deleting a record removes its contribution.
- Walk path recording: GPS walking paths are shown as golden Bézier curves, with footprint markers at start and end and occasional nocturnal animal silhouette easter eggs.
- Night path poster: a poster is generated automatically after a walk, including the path trail, that night's moon phase photo and a poetic quote, ready to share or save.
- Apple Health sync: with your permission, completed walks are written to the Health app as full workout records (steps, distance, effective duration) using a stable sync identifier, so retries do not create duplicate workouts; write-only, never read, routes are never written to Health, and health data never leaves the device.
- Dark interface: every pixel is designed for night, in amber gold, with no white flashes; secondary information fades after 12 seconds of inactivity and returns on touch.
- Eleven languages: Simplified and Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Russian, switchable at runtime; each language uses a matching open-source handwriting font (LXGW WenKai, Klee One, and LXGW WenKai Korean, all SIL OFL licensed).
- Cooler: the rear camera starts and stops on demand, and the flashlight steps down smoothly when hot to reduce heat.
- Honest battery display: the HUD shows only the real battery percentage, not an unsupported "remaining lighting time".
- Privacy first: walk data stays only on your device, with no account, no analytics and no tracking; only location is sent to Apple WeatherKit and Open-Meteo to get current weather.
