Description by Ryusuke Mochida Written by the developer, not by AppBrain. Click to read.
Click, click, click. Each tiny response in your fingertips becomes merit.
A soothing idle game of turning a prayer wheel and accruing Merit.
Every turn ticks past notch after notch with a satisfying pulse. Before you know it, you are still spinning.
A prayer wheel is a devotional instrument: each turn counts as one recitation of the sutras.
This game recreates that turning feel with meticulous care, built on the iPhone's haptic engine.
Give it a gentle sweep, and let it spin.
■ Just turning — yet hard to stop
- Sweep gently and the wheel coasts on, clattering with momentum
- Every notch lands a small click and a little Merit
- The Great Wheel starts out heavy; Bearing Oil and Training make it lighter
■ Merit grows the grounds
- Exchange Merit for fixtures that turn wheels in your stead
- A novice monk, prayer flags, a watermill wheel, a yak, an electric wheel, a great hall… out to a satellite wheel, a Dyson sphere, and beyond — eighteen fixtures in all
- Every one you welcome truly appears in the grounds, and the scenery grows lively and grand
- Turn the wheel yourself and the grounds resonate for extra yield; hand-turning remains the strongest act to the very end
■ The joy of collecting
- A Book of Seals with 89 Seals to receive, including hidden ones with secret conditions
- The Golden Lotus drifts down now and then — a once-in-a-lifetime stroke of fortune
- Grow your Merit and undergo Rebirth: receive Bodhi and depart for a more fruitful next life
- Dedicate Bodhi into the Mandala of Merit and weave your own Vows
■ The joy of competing
- Climb Mount Tenrin, a mountain ranked by Merit earned in a single day; the higher you climb, the grander the Great Wheel's adornments
- Game Center leaderboards: Today's Merit, Lifetime Merit, Today's Hand-Turns, Rebirths, and Bodhi — plus Seal achievements
■ Good to know
- Free to play through to the end; no purchase required
- Playable offline (the grounds keep turning while you are away)
■ About Patronage (monthly auto-renewing subscription)
