MAPPAE Project – acronym for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Pathways Across Europe – aims to create a multi-sensory, tourist and cultural thematic route, linking European destinations united by a common tradition in the field of MAPs (Medicinal and Aromatic Plants). The European Route on MAPs includes six European countries: FRANCE, ITALY, MALTA, CROATIA, BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA and CYPRUS.

With this App you can:
- Access the section “My travels”. Here you can download 12 planned itineraries designed to enjoy the universe of aromatic herbs and fragrances or create your personal wishlist. For each itinerary you have all the information you need during your travel
- Explore the “Plants & Herbs” catalogue
- Visit two museums (MUSES of Savigliano, Italy and the ARTEMISIA MUSEUM of Forcalquier, France) which are an excellence in Europe for the medicinal and aromatics herbs and especially for the sensory experience they offer to the visitor. Our App offer you a special interactive tour! Inside these two museums the App is interactive and sensitive to the user's position: it uses Beacon technology and when you are in specific areas provides additional content.

Mappae project is inspired by the principles of “slow tourism” and “experiential tourism” conceived as a multi-sensory experience. It aims to stimulate visitors with innovative tourist itineraries.

The Partners of the project are: Associazione Le Terre dei Savoia (Italy), Heritage Srl (Italy), WAWU – Wonderful Activities With Us (France), Troodos Network (Cyprus), Deputy Ministry of Cyprus (Cyprus), Miomirisni Otočki Vrt (Croatia), Gharb City Council (Malta) and Kadar Film and Video Production (Bosnia-Herzegovina). The project is co-funded by the COSME Program of the European Union.
