Description
Math for Kids – Fun Learning introduces students to solving algebra equations visually using the Hands-On Equations approach developed by Dr. Henry Borenson. Previously known as The Fun Way to Learn Algebra, this engaging educational app helps children and adults experience the excitement of solving equations through interactive learning and visual understanding.
Using digital game pieces placed on a virtual balance scale, students learn to solve beginning algebra equations step by step in a way that is intuitive, visual, and fun. In just three lessons, you will learn to solve equations such as 4x + 3 = 3x + 9.
Features • Short instructional videos featuring Dr. Henry Borenson • Interactive practice problems and lesson exercises • Visual balance-model approach to solving equations • Offline learning — no internet connection required • Designed for independent learning at home or in school
A Proven Educational Method The Hands-On Equations approach has helped more than one million students better understand algebra concepts through visual and kinesthetic learning. Equations typically introduced in middle school become accessible to students as young as 8 years old. This app provides an engaging introduction to that approach.
Ready for More Algebra? After completing your introduction to algebra with Math for Kids – Fun Learning, students may continue learning with the Hands-On Equations Level 1 app. In the full Level 1 app, students will: • Learn additional legal moves • Solve equations involving subtraction, such as: 5x – 3x = x + 8 • Master equations involving parentheses, such as: 2(2x + 3) = 3x + 12 • Build greater skill and confidence solving algebra equations • Reinforce learning by solving 84 additional equations
The Hands-On Equations Level 1 app expands upon the concepts introduced here and provides a more complete algebra-learning experience. For more information about Hands-On Equations, visit www.borenson.com. For app support, contact info@borenson.com.
