Medichec is already used in London teaching hospitals to improve the quality of patient care and is recommended in a number of policies and guidelines.
The anticholinergic effects of medications are increasingly recognised as an important factor in cognitive impairment. The 2018 NICE dementia guidelines recommend medication is assessed for anticholinergic effects to limit iatrogenic cognitive impairment.
