The Milan Longevity Summit is a global platform accelerating the One Health transition, the framework that recognizes the deep interconnection between human health, planetary health, and economic resilience. Born as a scientific forum on longevity, it has evolved into a cross‑sector meeting point for leaders in science, policy, industry, investment, and culture. Each year, the Summit gathers this community in Milan to explore how societies can redesign the systems that determine how long and how well people live.
The Summit exists because the systems shaping human wellbeing were built for a different era. Today, demographic shifts, climate pressure, and technological acceleration are reshaping every aspect of life. These challenges cannot be addressed in isolation. Health, environmental stability, and economic strength are increasingly understood as parts of the same system. This convergence is driving the rise of the One Health framework, and the Summit was created to explore and accelerate this transition.
The world is entering a decisive decade. By the mid‑2030s, healthcare, food systems, energy, infrastructure, and finance will undergo profound transformation. Several shifts are already underway: from treatment to prevention, from extraction to regeneration, from short‑term growth to long‑term resilience, from fragmented governance to systemic coordination. The Summit brings together the leaders shaping these transitions through the lens of One Health.
Longevity is not only a medical outcome; it emerges from the interaction of multiple systems. Food influences metabolic health, cities shape physical and mental wellbeing, energy systems affect air quality and climate stability, and finance determines which innovations scale. Together, these forces form what many describe as the One Health economy, an emerging framework linking health, sustainability, and long‑term prosperity.
The Summit’s mission is built on six pillars: democratizing longevity science; connecting sustainability and human health; enabling cross‑sector innovation; promoting lifelong education; shaping policies that translate science into societal impact; and catalyzing a global One Health movement. These pillars guide a program that examines twelve interconnected systems, from health and food to energy, finance, technology, culture, education, and mental wellbeing.
Four parallel stages explore the transition from different perspectives: Prosperity (economy, capital, policy), Vitality (innovation and markets), Humanity (society, culture, cities), and Longevity (science and medicine). The four‑day narrative moves from understanding current systems to redesigning future ones, scaling solutions, and building a shared vision.
In Milan, longevity is not only discussed — it is designed. The Summit combines keynotes, strategic dialogues, workshops, closed‑door sessions, an Innovation Expo, startup showcases, business matching, and curated networking. The city becomes a living lab through Longevity Houses, immersive spaces where citizens engage with new ideas in health, food, sustainability, and wellbeing. Cultural events and the Longevity Rave connect scientific and creative communities in unexpected ways.
The journey continues in Vatican City, where leaders explore the ethical, philosophical, and spiritual dimensions of long‑term human flourishing. This extension deepens the Summit’s commitment to a holistic understanding of longevity.
