Description by Jason Hsu(from the App Store)
Bring your videos to life with MoTap. Whether you import from your library or record in‑app, MoTap transforms any clip into eye‑catching stop‑motion magic—no desktop required.
Key Features
Four Export Modes • Frame-by‑Frame: Extract every Nth frame as individual high‑res PNGs (with optional sequence numbering). • Stop‑Motion Video: Compile frames into a looping MP4 or MOV with flipbook‑style animation. • Motion Snapshots: Video clips that play 1/3 of a second of video and freezes the last frame for 2/3 of a second as individual clips at every Nth interval. • Projector Startup Footage: Convert your video to look like an old school projector starting up • VCR Footage: Turn your video into reclaimed VCR playback • Old-School Film: Black and white silent film style • Set Slow Motion: Determine where your footage plays in slow motion • Time Lapse: Determine where your footage plays in time lapse • Auto Find All Clear Frames: Use the app to find all clear, unique frames in your video (between 20 and 60) that you can share or save.
In‑App Editing • Add stickers, text blocks, and overlays to any frame. • Drag, resize, and style each element—per‑frame or globally across all frames.
Live Stop-Motion And Onion-Skins • View, project, or live stream in stop-motion and onion skins • Record what you see • Adjustable frame intervals • Adjustable opacity for onion skins
Story‑Ready • Export directly to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok stories or save to your Photos library. • Includes “Tap forward/back” callouts for perfectly timed story interactions.
Intuitive Controls • Adjustable frame interval, live preview, and onion‑skin mode for perfect timing. • On‑screen timer and max‑duration guardrail to keep clips tight.
Privacy First • All processing and assets stay on your device—no servers, no upload delays.
How It Works • Choose or Record your clip (up to 30 seconds). • Pick Your Mode: frame extraction, stop‑motion video, motion clips, or pure frame finding. • Customize each frame with text, stickers, or global overlays. • Export & Share: individual images or a single animated file, ready for your social‑media stories.
