SOUND FAMILIAR?
• Reading time ends in tears. Theirs or yours.
• You want to help, but you're not sure how to teach phonics.
• The readers at home are so dull, your child guesses from the pictures.
• You're just too tired tonight.
Pip Reader takes care of all four.
DON'T KNOW WHERE TO START? WE DO.
The Reading Path is 128 lessons, every sound in the right order, from the first letter to real books. Each one is the same simple loop: hear the sound, slide the letters together, spell the word, read the line. Pip says every sound clearly, so you never have to wonder how a letter should sound. The whole Path is free.
THEY THINK IT'S A GAME. IT'S A PHONICS LESSON.
Every word gets its own show. Your child taps each sound and a clue peeks in. Then they slide the sounds together and the word comes true: read "red," and Gus the frog turns furious red. Every lesson ends in a tiny comic they only get by reading the line.
SIGHT WORDS WITHOUT FLASHCARDS
Words like said, was and all can't be sounded out, so each one gets its own funny show. Read "all are wet," and everyone gets their own rain cloud.
90+ BOOKS THEY CAN REALLY READ
Every word in a book is one your child can sound out at their step, so the first book they read is one they really read. No guessing from pictures. Before each book, Get ready warms up its hardest words and phrases. Then the book, with the hard parts already met.
No placement test: every book opens, so a child who already reads is never stuck on letter one.
Characters kids ask for by name: Dot & Mop, Ned, Pim & Gus, Mox & Nib, Bot and more. A new book arrives every week.
TOO TIRED TONIGHT? IT READS TO THEM.
• Read to me: real character voices, and every word lights up as it's read.
• My turn: your child reads. Stuck on a word? Tap it to hear it.
BUILT ON THE SCIENCE OF READING
Every screen follows a finding, and we name them:
• Sounds taught in a planned order (systematic phonics; a 66-study review)
• Sounds run together, "mmmaaat," not "m-a-t" (blending; a randomized study)
• Ears before eyes (phonemic awareness; a meta-analysis)
• Each word lit as it's read, because children who are read to look at the pictures, not the print (eye-tracking studies)
No worksheets. No drills. No points or streaks: the joke is the reward.
Every finding and its source: pipreader.org/science
IS IT WORKING? SEE EVERY WIN.
