PressureDeck Sky Cards

PressureDeck Sky Cards turns your iPhone into a pocket-sized antique storm-glass instrument for weather watchers, hikers, sailors, and gardeners. Using your device's built-in barometer, the app reads live atmospheric pressure and runs it through the classic, public-domain Zambretti forecasting table to produce a plain-language short-term outlook like 'Unsettled, Showers Later.'

Watch the animated analog pressure gauge track real hPa readings and a 3-hour rising, falling, or steady trend arrow. Set wind direction with a hand-rotatable compass dial — no location permission required — to refine the forecast. Save any reading as a collectible Sky Card: a flippable snapshot combining pressure, trend, forecast text, and an optional photo of the sky, all organized into your own personal browsable deck.

Dive deeper with a Swift Charts pressure history graph showing min/max markers and shaded bands for rapid-drop periods, a seeded cloud identification gallery covering ten classic cloud types, and a hand-calibrated altimeter that turns a known trailhead or dock elevation into an estimated altitude reading. A home screen widget keeps the latest pressure and trend visible at a glance.

No barometer on your device or simulator? No problem — a fully functional manual-entry mode means every feature stays available. Everything is processed and stored entirely on-device: no account, no cloud sync, no data collection, and no push notifications. PressureDeck Sky Cards is a recreational weather companion built for curiosity and hobby use, not a substitute for official marine, aviation, or emergency forecasts.
