Video plays in the foreground through the YouTube player. Rabbit Ears keeps the screen awake while you watch; it does not download video, extract audio, or provide background playback.
Rabbit Ears 2.0 no longer signs in to YouTube. The old app's account areas — Watch Later, Favorites, What to Watch, and YouTube history — depended on APIs YouTube discontinued. Rabbit Ears's on-device library replaces those paths that no longer work.
Rabbit Ears shows no ads of its own and never covers or changes the YouTube player; ads served by YouTube play as usual.
