Import a ride from a .fit file or turn a cycling workout already in Apple Health into a journal entry, then bring it to life. Add your own notes, drop in photos from along the way, and attach the playlist that powered you up the hill so you can relive the whole adventure later.
Now Ride Journal finds the climbs in your rides for you. There are no segments to set up and no route to plan first, it reads the elevation profile of the ride you already did and picks out every sustained rise. Each climb gets its own card with a map of the road you took, an elevation profile shaded by how steep it got, and the numbers behind it: length, elevation gain, time on the climb, average and maximum grade, and the height at the summit. Climbs are categorised the way cycling does it, from Cat 4 up to Hors Catégorie, so you can tell at a glance whether that was a drag or a proper mountain.
You can record what the road was like, too. Numbers never capture the greasy first corner after the rain, or the gravel someone tipped across a descent. Tag a ride as wet, icy, greasy, rough, broken, gravel, roadworks, quiet, busy, whatever it actually was and the entry reads the way you would describe the ride to a friend.
And you can change your mind. One edit sheet holds the entry's name, your notes, how the ride felt, the road conditions, your photos and your music, so a ride is never finished the moment you import it.
