WHAT IT DOES
- Pitch from rise and run, in the same unit, either measurement system.
- Every form of the slope at once: x-in-12 pitch, angle in degrees, and percent grade.
- Common rafter length from your span and pitch, with ridge shortening and the overhang tail worked in.
- Hip and valley rafter lengths, using the correct 45 degree plan diagonal, plus the hip angle.
- Roof area, roofing squares, and the shingle bundles to order, with your own waste allowance.
- A live cross-section that gets steeper as the pitch does, so the picture always matches the numbers.
- Metric or imperial throughout: feet and inches, or metres and centimetres.
