StrataBox: Rock Collection

Catalog your rocks, minerals and fossils with photos, collection notes and locality details. With StrataBox Pro, compare specimens and create printable labels and photo reports.

BUILD YOUR CABINET
Add several photos of each specimen, including different sides, labels and information cards, alongside its name and notes. Select several photos at once, change their order, choose a cover, view details and share individual photos. Record locality, acquisition date and method, color, streak, luster, Mohs hardness, crystal system, dimensions and weight. Browse photographic cards, search your records and filter by specimen kind. Catalog numbers help connect a digital record to a physical piece.

GO FURTHER WITH PRO
• Keep unlimited specimen records.
• Compare two specimens side by side and show only their recorded differences.
• Export collection and want-list PDF reports with complete notes and every saved photo on clean white pages.
• Print specimen labels for your collection or a display case; long text continues onto additional label sections.
• Record find sites, coordinates, access notes and field trips.
• Organize display cases and keep a mineral want list with photos, priorities and recorded budgets. Carry reference photos into the catalog when a wish becomes part of your collection.
• Export the catalog as CSV.
• Receive future Pro feature updates while your Pro access is active.

Collection tools highlight missing catalog details, label readiness, recorded acquisition costs and display organization. Recorded costs are not current market values or appraisals. Amounts have no stored currency and are not converted. Same-site, same-day trip associations are suggestions based on your records, not verified collecting history.

TRY IT FIRST
New collectors can start with one specimen record and explore a fictional sample report. Existing customer allowances and purchased access are preserved. Pro is available monthly, yearly or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. Current local prices and any eligible offer terms are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled; manage them in your Apple Account settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase.

Your own records remain your source of truth. StrataBox does not identify stones from photos, certify authenticity or estimate their market value. Illustrative sample photographs are generated and clearly belong to fictional examples.
