Scan Instantly: PDF Scanner

Scan anything on paper, then save, share or print it.

Point your camera at a page. When the page holds still, Scan Instantly takes the picture, cleans it up and reads the text. Then remove smudges, sign it, and send it as a PDF, JPEG, Word or Excel file. You don't need an account, and nothing leaves your device unless you send it.

Your first 3 scans are free. Unlimited scans are a one-time in-app purchase. There is no subscription.

CAPTURE
• Takes the picture by itself when the page holds still.
• Or switch to a shutter you tap.
• Won't scan a page twice while it stays under the camera.
• Turn the light on or off, or leave it on automatic.
• Keeps taking pages until you tap Done.
• Scans both sides of an ID onto one page.

CLEAN UP
• Finds the four corners and flattens the page.
• Removes shadows, whitens the paper and sharpens the text.
• Turns pages the right way up and straightens crooked text.
• Cleans documents, receipts, cards, whiteboards and photos to suit each one.
• Rotate, or drag the corners to crop.
• One tap puts the photo's own colors back.

EDIT
• Clean Up removes smudges and marks, with three brush sizes and zoom.
• Sign with a signature you draw, lift from a photo or bring over from Markup.
• Keeps your signatures on your device to use again.
• Add lines of text or today's date, then move and resize them.

READ
• Makes PDFs you can search, select and copy from.
• Reads every page on your device.
• Only keeps words that read the same from three prepared pictures of the page.
• Says so when a page or part of a page could not be read reliably.
• Reads business cards into contacts, with buttons to email, call or open the website.
• Can add cards to Contacts by itself.

SEND
• PDF, JPEG, Word or Excel, or Auto: one page as a JPEG, several as a PDF.
• Share, Save to Camera Roll, Save to Files or Print.
• Name each scan.
• Leave pages out or change their order.
• Lock a PDF with a password.

KEEP
• Finished scans stay in Recents, ready to open, change and send again.
• Kept until you delete them, or for 7, 30 or 90 days if you choose a limit.
• Deleted scans wait 30 days in the Recycle Bin.
• Restore them, erase one, or empty the bin.

PRIVATE
• No account, no analytics and no advertising.
• Scans without internet.
• Scans and signatures stay out of device backups and are encrypted while your device is locked.
• Covers your pages in the app switcher.
