Why sun safety matters

The world’s leading health authorities agree that protecting children from UV damage is essential.

“Just one blistering sunburn in childhood can double your risk of melanoma later in life.” – American Academy of Dermatology
“Over 95 percent of melanomas are caused by overexposure to UV radiation.” – Melanoma Institute Australia
“Children are particularly vulnerable to ultraviolet radiation and need special protection.” – World Health Organization

Every expert agrees, sun safety starts in childhood and lasts a lifetime.

Research shows that around 80 percent of lifetime sun exposure happens before the age of 18.*
Children’s skin is thinner and absorbs more UV damage than adults.**

Tuuvi turns science into simple, caring habits so your family can raise a sun-safe generation together.
