Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Symposium

The Sustainable Mobility and Transportation Symposium is an interdisciplinary scientific conference organized by the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Automotive Engineering and the Vehicle Industry Research Center of Széchenyi István University.

1. Transportation & Logistics
This session explores the role of Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) in transforming road infrastructure. Topics include how AVs can improve road safety, reduce emissions, and enhance shared mobility. As AVs gradually integrate with conventional vehicles, adapting road designs and safety standards will be crucial.

2. Mobility and Society
This session addresses the relationship between mobility, vehicle usage, and societal dynamics. It covers car-dependent societies, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), and the influence of digitalization on consumer behavior.

3. Diagnostics and Testing
Efficient and eco-friendly vehicle operations depend on advanced diagnostics and testing technologies. This session highlights modern tools for diagnosing electric and autonomous vehicles. Topics include on-board diagnostics, energy-saving tests, emissions measurement, and noise reduction techniques.

4. AI & Control
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the automotive industry by optimizing manufacturing and driving technologies. This session covers AI applications in machine perception, IoT, and digital analytics. Participants will learn how AI enhances efficiency, safety, and innovation in the automotive sector.

5. Fuels & Lubricants
This session focuses on sustainable advancements in fuels and lubricants. It explores synthetic and biogenic fuels, as well as hydrogen's potential as a renewable energy source. Lubricant innovations that reduce friction and wear will also be discussed, demonstrating how they extend engine life and improve performance while minimizing environmental impact.

The future of the automotive industry relies on lightweight, recyclable, and eco-friendly materials. This session explores the latest developments in metallic and polymeric materials, along with advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D printing.

7. Vehicle Development
This session focuses on cutting-edge research and engineering advancements that shape the future of sustainable vehicle development. Topics include the modeling and simulation of internal combustion engines using alternative fuels, advanced drivetrain system optimization. Presentations also address gear design enhancements, such as noise prediction based on microgeometry modifications and the impact of pitch errors on transmission performance.

This session addresses the technological advancements and engineering challenges of electric mobility, with a focus on energy efficiency, drivetrain optimization, and material sustainability. Presentations explore torque profile optimization for competitive urban-category electric vehicles, as well as clustering methods to adapt battery load profiles to user-specific driving patterns.
