Sorting History

Place historical events on a growing timeline. Get it right and the timeline grows. 19 categories, 2,000+ events, and a new Daily Challenge every day. Not multiple choice — you sort history.

I built this game for my wife. We loved playing Chronology for many years, but the content never changed. So I made the game she asked for — a trivia game that never gets old.

HOW IT WORKS
Each round, you get a historical event. Place it where you think it belongs on the timeline. Get it right and the timeline grows. Get it wrong and you learn something new.

A NEW CHALLENGE EVERY DAY
5 events, surprise category, under 2 minutes. Everyone gets the same Daily Challenge. Share your results and see who sorted history best. Daily streak with celebrations at 7, 14, 30, 100, and 365 days, and streak freezes for when life gets in the way.

GO DEEP
19 categories — US History, World Wars, Ancient Civilizations, Medieval History, Scientific Discoveries, Music & Entertainment, Sports History, European History, TV History, Film History, Women's History, Food & Drink, Space Exploration, and German, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, French, and South American History. 100+ researched events in every category. Players vote on which category comes next — you get a say.

LEARN, DON'T JUST PLAY
Turn on Learning Mode and events you miss keep coming back until you master them. Spaced repetition that actually works. Perfect for students, teachers, and anyone who wants screen time that teaches.

PLAY AT YOUR PACE
Friendly mode (no penalties), Competitive, or Expert. No timer. Sprint (5 rounds) to Epic (30 rounds). Works completely offline.

PLAY TOGETHER
Two ways to play with friends and family.

PASS & PLAY
On a road trip? Waiting at a restaurant? Pass the phone and take turns. 2-6 players, one device, no Wi-Fi needed. Pick your category, set your difficulty, and see who knows history best.

NETWORK PLAY
Board game night without the board. Two teams on their own devices over the same Wi-Fi. Choose your category and go — a game night that never runs out of content.

TRACK YOUR MASTERY
Scholar Path for breadth across all of history. Historian Path for deep expertise.

TWO GAME MODES
Sorting History — place events on a timeline. History Pinpoint — guess the exact year (Historian exclusive).
