HOW IT WORKS
Set up one Shortcuts automation, once, with the steps in the app. From then on every Apple Pay tap lands in Spensei on its own, sorted into a category, with a short note on your screen.
WHAT YOU GET
• Left today: your monthly limit, or your pay minus your bills, turned into one number for today. Tap it to see exactly how it is worked out.
• A note the moment you pay, with the amount, the category and what is left today.
• Belts for days on track. Close enough still counts, and a belt is never taken away.
• A morning note with how yesterday went.
• Habits that add up, like a coffee run that costs more a year than you would guess.
• Your month in review on the 1st.
• Subscriptions, with a reminder before each renewal and before a free trial ends.
• A heads up when a shop charges you twice, while you can still ask for it back.
• Goals: save toward something, or keep the month under a number.
• Home screen widgets.
• Add a purchase by hand for cash, debit or anything Apple Pay does not see.
ASK ABOUT YOUR MONEY
Ask in plain words and get answers worked out from your own numbers: the figures are calculated first, then explained. The chat is optional and asks before it sends anything.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Apple Pay purchases are kept on your iPhone. Spensei never sees your card number and never asks for a bank login. Connecting a bank through Plaid is optional and in beta.
SPENSEI PRO
Tracking, the daily number and everything on the Spending page are free. Spensei Pro adds more from the chat: 30 answers a day instead of 30 a week, 15 advanced answers a day, and photos and PDFs. Monthly or yearly, with a 7 day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your App Store account settings.
