Stripe Alerts pushes failed payments, disputes and cancellations to your phone — with the amount, the card, and the reason it declined.

WHAT YOU GET TOLD

• Payment failed — the amount, the card brand and last 4, and the real decline reason: insufficient funds, expired card, do not honour.
• Dispute opened — the amount, the reason in plain English, and how long you have left to submit evidence.
• Subscription cancelled — the MRR you just lost and the reason the customer gave Stripe.

Pro adds three more:

• Subscription payment failed — the amount, which retry attempt it was, and when Stripe will try again.
• Refund issued — full or partial, the amount, the card, and the reason.
• Large payment received — only above a threshold you set, from $10 to $1000.

SETUP IS ONE KEY

Create a restricted key in Stripe with read access to Events. Paste it in. That's the entire setup and it takes about a minute — no account, no signup, nothing to install into your Stripe account.

The key is read-only. Stripe Alerts cannot charge, refund, or move money — the permission doesn't exist on the key. Revoke it from your Stripe dashboard any time and the app stops working immediately.

WHAT IT DOESN'T DO

It doesn't do anomaly detection, forecasting, or dashboards, and it doesn't replace Stripe's reporting. It watches six event types and tells you about them with the detail attached. That's the whole product.

It also isn't instant. Free checks your account every 30 minutes, Pro every 5. If you need sub-minute alerting, build it on Stripe webhooks — that's a different tool.
